best way to get from Zermatt to Lauterbrunnen?

Trying to figure ticket prices and trains to get from Zermatt from Lauterbrunnen? Looks like I take Zermatt to Visp then to Spiez then to Iterlaken then to Lauterbrunnen. Looks like very short interchanges are these trains frequent? what would average price be?

Go to www.sbb.ch/en and put in Zermatt to Lauterbrunnen. Remember that the 1st price you see will say "Half Fare Card plus 1 ticket is XX.XX". That means you have to pay twice that price if you don't have a Half Fare Card.

Yes, the trains are frequent. All rail lines in Switzerland have at least one train per hour, often one every 30 minutes. So you can get from anywhere to anywhere by just turning up at the station.

"Looks like I take Zermatt to Visp then to Spiez then to Iterlaken then to Lauterbrunnen." - that is correct, but you don't need to know that to look up times and prices; that is the answer you will get when you look up Zermatt to Lauterbrunnen on the SBB site ( https://www.sbb.ch/en ).
The price is CHF 90.60 (if you have no discounts or passes) and it will take 2h50 (I just looked it up).

BTW, you will have to go via Visp to get to Zermatt. Zermatt is at the end of the valley, Visp is at the mouth of the valley, and the only way in.
