Hi, I am looking for short (<2 hour) and relatively flat hikes/walks near Brienz and Thun. I will probably be kayaking in the morning, so I am going for vistas rather than a workout. I'll be there three days. I'd be willing to drive/take a train for excellent views. Any recommendations?
I'll also be staying one night in Murren - could use recommendations there too!

Yes, but the hiking trail may not be open on your dates. The cable car will be running though. If you have a BO pass you could ride down the other side to Grindelwald. Great views from the gondola.

Hike along Lake Brienz from Iseltwald to Giessbach falls?
Iseltwald is accessible by bus or boat.
Take the Giessbach funi up 5chf) to Hotel for a meal at the falls.
Funi down, and bus or boat back home.
I have made Brienz my base on two prior trips, and again this September.
This is 5.2 km, 1.5- 2 hours and mostly easy.
There is a very nice lakefront to walk in Thun. Start at the Thun Castle and walk south along the river and lake. You can easily walk to Buvette Am See Hünibach where you can catch a boat back to the town center or walk up to the main road and take a bus back. Snowy peak views are lovely.
