Hello!
Just booked a flight into Bern arriving next Friday at 10:30am, erroneously thinking I could catch a direct train to Interlaken, where I meet my mom and sister. Looks like the closest train station to the airport is Belp, but to take the train from there would require one transfer. Contemplating the longer bus ride into Bern to catch a train directly to Interlaken, or shorter ride to Belp and one transfer on the train. Time is of the essence, as we leave on the Glacier Express the next day!

Head over to the Swiss Rail site at rail.ch and simply type "Bern Airport" as your origin and "Interlaken" as your destination to see all of your options. It's a bit of a tricky journey.
If you are looking for the simplest, but most expensive, method I would take a taxi to the main train station in Bern. From there are frequent direct trains to Interlaken.

Well if you catch the bus from the airport at 12:04 you should arrive in Interlaken Ost at 13:28, would that suit?
Bus 160 to Belp Station, Belp Station to Thun and Thun to Interlaken.
