What are the best places to go with 3 days. What would be the best place to stay as our base? Any suggestions helpful! Best day trips?

3 days when? Coming from where and going where next?
My "generic" answer is Luzern. Quintessential Swiss town center, beautiful lake and mountain views, cool day and half-day trips (Rigi, Pilatus, Stanserhorn...), easy access from Zürich airport and central location on the train network.

We're going to Munich for three days and then to on to Switzerland. We're going from Sept. 29 - Oct. 10. Thanks for the tip
about Luzern. We'll definitely check it out.
