Best place to visit near Lauterbrunnen mid April

My husband and I are traveling to Switzerland in mid April to visit our son who is studying abroad. We understand that this time of year is questionable for getting a hotel and even what activities are available. What would be the best areas to concentrate on near Lauterbrunnen for scenery and activities? Specifically we would like to hike, bike, and paraglide.
Thank you for your input

The lower elevations should be very springlike so it might be a great time to stay in Thun (my preference but further from Lauterbrunnen and environs) or Interlaken. You a can do all of your activities in either town, or if the weather cooperates, take the train into the valley. Even the Lauterbrunnen Valley walk from Stechelberg to Lauterbrunnen should be stunning in April, and Grütschalp to Mürren (or the reverse)will be accessible even if there is a bit of snow.

The lakeside in Thun is particularly nice for leisurely walking.

We had the best time in Stoos. Nice hotels, incredible funicular and a lovely ride from Lauterbrunnen. Pleasant hikes on an alpine meadow that should be full of the first signs of spring.

We also spent a few days at the Geissbach Hotel on Lake Brienz. It was an incredible stay.

Thanks for the info! We are also going in April and have the same questions.
I’ll likely be doing another post but found this helpful. Thanks!
