I am going to be in Switzerland in September and will have a couple days in Lucerne. My husband and I like moderate to advanced hikes with beautiful views (no repelling off mountains or anything) but we like a tough hike! Any recommendations for your top couple hikes in Lucerne? Thank you!
Mt Pilatus is an easy day trip from Lucerne and there are hikes for all abilities.
And Mt Rigi, which involves a beautiful boat ride, and you can decide to come down via the cogwheel train or gondola.
Or Mt Stanserhorn, with the Cabrio open air cable car.
Safe travels!
Are you going to have the Swiss Travel Pass? If so, the journeys to and from Rigi and Stanserhorn are completely covered.
I’m a big Rigi fan, but also really liked Stanserhorn after Pat recommended it after her last trip. Pilatus is on my list for my June 2024 trip.

No wrong choices. With a couple days, you could do all 3. 😊
