I have reservations for Monday June 8th. I have been trying to buy the tickets. Can't seem to figure out how to buy the tickets for the 8:17am out of Chur as it seems to be blocking my attempt indicating a reservation is needed. I have the reservation and there does not seem to be any way to indicate on the website that the reservation is obtained. Any suggestions would be welcome.
I did read I can just get the tickets when I arrive but I don't know if that is true and I would like to have ahead of time. Thank you

Go to the Man in Seat 61 website - he gives many different ways to purchase Bernina express tickets. We purchased our tickets from the German railways website using the method outlined on his website (we have seat reservations via SBB and purchased the reservations prior to purchasing tickets).

You can't buy a ticket for the 8:17. You can buy a ticket Chur to Tirano for June 8th however. Tickets in Switzerland are for a route, not a train.
Anyway, behind the "reservation" there is a pencil. Click on that and you have the option to uncheck reservation. You still get the warning that a reservation is needed, however you can ignore that. (And the warning is wrong anyway...)
Since you are spending the night in Chur you could always just get the ticket at the station though.
