Bernina Express seat reservation help.

I had no problem selecting a window seat in Coach 3. OK, not quite no problem. Since it automatically preselected an aisle seat in Coach 2, where all the window seats were taken, I had to deselect that aisle seat first, then go to Coach 3 and select a window seat.

I would highly recommend taking the regional trains that run on the same tracks, same route. No seat reservations required, MUCH less crowded [more social distancing], windows open for fresh air and better pix, and more flexible schedules.
The Bernina Express route is an incredible experience!

Thanks for the help. I went back and was able to un-select the assigned seat and chose one on my own. I had considered the Regional train but would prefer the domed cars. Thanks though!

Sam, Oh my gosh, I didn’t know this. When I made my reservations on the Glacier Express, I thought the car they showed was “it” and I booked 2 of the last 4 remaining seats, Aisle. ☹️ Do you know if I can change them if I’ve reserved and paid and there are window seats in another car?

Which day, train and class did you book on? If you created an account when you purchased your seat reservations, I imagine you could change them, but not sure.

Sam, I contacted the GE office and now the train is completely full. It’s my own darn fault because I waited too long to make a reservation. I thought I’d wait and give myself flexibility and then got 2 of the last 4 second class seats on the train for my date of travel. For others needing to reserve seats, learn from me and book as soon as you know your dates. ( I didn’t even want to go on the GE but the schedules for the regular train didn’t work for me). I may try to move up to first class if there’s room there.
