Bernina Express

I'd like to take the Bernina Express from Tirano to St. Moritz or Zermatt. One way. From there I'm looking to get to the Berner Oberland area to Murren. Is it possible. I can't quite seem to figure out the Bernina Express, and will keep trying. Any suggestions from St. Moritz north to Murren?

The Bernina Express goes from Tirano to Chur, passing through St. Moritz. To get to Zermatt you can take the Glacier Express from St. Moritz.

You can see the routes highlighted on this map of the Swiss railways and scenic trains:

To get to the Mürren, you could stay on the Bernina Express to Chur and make your way to Luzern from there. (One route is through Thalwil and Zug; you can see that on the map)>. From Luzern there is a direct train to Interlaken Ost.

I like this version of the rail map, with the named scenic routes highlighted for easy planning. And the attached artistic panoramic map is nice, with lots of popular sights indicated.

We rode the Bernina Express route on the regional trains, which use the same tracks , sees the same sights. You have more schedule options with the regional trains, and no seat reservations required. We found these trains to be much less crowded, so we could switch sides of the train as the scenery changed. Also, the windows opened, for fresh mountain air and better pictures. The views are amazing.
We spent the night in Pontressina, elevation about 5,000 ft. You can see a glacier from the heated community pool, and ride chair lift for great views..
Then rode from Pontressina to Murren. It took about six hours, a few train changes, but was overall relaxing.
Enjoy this beautiful country!
