I am curious when is the best time to purchase the Bernese Oberland Regional pass? In the U.S online using dollars or once we get in Switzerland? We will be flying into Zurich and staying in Wengen for 8 days.

If you are from the USA, it will come out of your bank account as USD no matter which way you go.

You can buy the HFC, the BO Pass and your ticket for the Airport to Bern (or Wengen if you decide not to use the pass the frist day) quite easily at the airport. Just look for the SBB travel centre.
