We are traveling from Texas to Switzerland next month and are planning to purchase the 8-day Bernese Oberland pass as well as the Half Fare card. We planned to purchase the passes in advance and have them saved on our phones as well as printing a backup copy before we leave home.
Has anyone had any issues using a print-at-home copy of the passes? Are there places the digital QR code may not be accepted?

The digital QR code is accepted everywhere. Do not worry. The only issue might be is that some scanners have trouble reading it of a phone screen, which is where the printed copy comes in handy.
Put the passes in your Apple wallet. You can access that without wi-fi.

We just got back from 5 nights in the BO and the QR code worked everywhere. We did bring printed backups so that the less tech savvy members of our group could separate without having the QR code on their phones.
