Berner Oberland Pass

We will be arriving in Switzerland early next month and I plan to get Half Fare cards and the BO Pass for our 6 nights in Wengen and 3 nights in Lucerne. Can the BO Pass be purchased at a train station or must it be purchased online? I was thinking about taking the train from Geneva-Montreux and spending a little time there before catching a train to Wengen. I could buy the pass in either Geneva or Montreux. Thanks for any advice. This will be our first time in Switzerland.

You will not be able to buy it at those stations as they are not in the Berner Oberland. Why not buy it online? Both the BO Pass and the HFC can be accessed on your phone that way so no paper to useโ€ฆor lose. Just be certain to specify your dates. You will need the SBB app on your phone. Then buy the HFC online using the account you set up for the app,

Per https://www.berneseoberlandpass.ch/faq/ you can buy the pass "at the airport railway stations in Zurich and Geneva"

Where can I purchase the Berner Oberland Pass?
Online in the BLS Webshop (Print@Home), at the airport railway stations in Zurich and Geneva, as well as at railway stations and many tourist information centres in the area.

We purchased the pass at a train station and received paper passes. This was a big mistake. The bar codes were not recognized by any of the turnstiles at the gondolas and at Grindelwald station. We had to wave over an employee for help every time. I would purchase online. People who had the passes on their phones had no problems.
