If you had 2 days to explore Bern, Lucerne and Zurich, how would you allocate your time between these 3 and which would you spend a longer time in?
We will be based in Lauterbrunen.

I would spend 1 day in Bern and 1 in Luzern, thus skipping Zürich, which is far from Lauterbrunnen and less interesting than the other two IMO.

It's 1.5 to 2 hours from Lauterbrunen to Bern, then another hour to Zurich; that doesn't include the time it takes to get to and from the station, so I'd spend a day in Bern and a day in Lucerne just to avoid spending up to 6 hours on the train.
Both cities have enough to do and see to warrant a day there.
