Basel Switzerland - Private Guide

I cannot recommend a private guide, but I contacted the tourism office and they were so helpful. They actually have about 4 walking tours set up and mailed me the maps and other information. You can also download and print the maps. I know they also had an audio tour for a phone and they sell tours. I felt I got a good amount of information from the walking tour maps they sent me. One thing that I do not think was within their tours was a walk on the other side of the river which I highly recommend. We crossed the river on the bridge close to the art museum and walked to the bridge that goes back to the old town by the town hall and the market square where we picked up a quick lunch.
