We leave our river cruise boat in Basel by 8:00a.m. and will go to Lucerne by train to arrive mid-afternoon. Any suggestions for the best things to do in Basel in the morning/early afternoon? I believe we can check our luggage in the train station.
We loved the Jean Tinguely museum, and just walking around the historic areas near the river.
A top attraction would be the Fondation Beyeler modern art museum. More ideas below:
