Hello! We have a group of about 20 people who are all meeting up in Basel for a cruise in October.
I'd like to have a cocktail get together one night. Can anyone suggest a bar that would have a meeting room ?
Everyone is staying in the Old Town.

Have you considered one of the hotels that you or others are staying in? Most of them have nice hotel bars (Motel One, Radisson for example) and it will be easier to get space for 20 people without having to pay for a separate function room.
Otherwise, you could try OscarOne. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g188049-d18590387-Reviews-OscarOne-Basel.html Not a huge place (and pretty sure there is no meeting room, just a mezzanine level), but they have good cocktails and are centrally located. Their website is only in German, but I'm sure you can contact them and explain what you want in English.

Most of the hotels should be willing to let you have a room for free, provided you are willing to allow them to enter the room to server drinks and snacks to the group. Just ask.

Thank you! I'm going thru the hotel but their prices are a bit high - they have a lot of minimums so they're more suitable for having people for dinner.
