What transportation should I use to reach the Basel Marriott from the airport? I arrive late in the evening (22:45) and need to get to Messeplatz.

At that hour best take a taxi.

The last bus to SBB station is at 6 past midnight and T2 tram connects to Basel Messeplatz by 35 past midnight. Connections every 20 minutes before that. Staying in a Basel hotel, the cost should be free with a guest card, which on arrival, your hotel confirmation should be sufficient. Check with the Marriot.

Of course, if this is a business trip, your employer should be paying for it, so a taxi is certainly more convenient.
