Interested in trains, trams or gondolas travel from Grindelwald to Wengen, Grindelwald, and Lauterbrunnen. Easy hikes from areas and then return Via same transportation or hike down as long on not too much traffic on road .
If you have a Berner Oberland Pass:
There are 2 great ways to get to Wengen by cable car or gondola, and from Wengen you take a little train down to Lauterbrunnen. To reach Gimmelwald from there, you can walk (on a pedestrian path if I remember) or take a bus to Stechelberg, and cablecar up from there.
So for Grindelwald to Wengen, one option is to take the gondola up to Männlichen, cross over the ridge past the playground, and take the cablecar down from there. See photos here:

On this gondola, you sit in a small cabin with your own party (unless they are very busy and ned to fill up the cabins). I particularly enjoy riding this one down for the views, so you might plan that for one of your trips.
Between Männlichen and Wengen you can ride this cablecar down the steep side of the ridge, riding on top if you choose (extra payment of 5 CHF not covered by the BO Pass.

The other option is to go between Grindelwald and Kleine Scheidegg with the Eiger Express Gondola:

This actually goes to Eigergletscher, a station above Kleine Scheidegg on the Jungfrau train route. You can walk down to Kleine Scheidegg (easy walk of about 1 kilometer) or ride the train down (though I am not sure you are allowed to board there, so check on that).
From Kleine Scheidegg, you can either ride the train down to Wengen (stay on if you want to go to Lauterbrunnen as that is where the train ends). Or you can walk the easy and very popular Panorama Trail to the top of the Männlichen cablecar and ride that down to Wengen.

Did you see that the Panorama Trail (Maennlichen to K. S. was closed today (Saturday) due to snow??!
Yes, it is indeed closed today. I don’t know what their travel dates are. Maybe they are there now?
