Autumn Events across Switzerland Sept 26 to Oct 12

Greetings Members,

I hope this message finds you well.

Am arriving at Geneva airport on Sept 26 at 10 am and will depart from Zurich on Oct 12. Am planning on getting 15 days Swiss Travel Pass Flex. Am a solo traveller and am thinking of staying in Montreux, Zermatt, St Moritz, Lauterbrunnen and Lucern for my 3rd visit to Switzerland.

Can you please help me with an itinerary that covers as many autumn festivals like cow parades ,cheese festivals (Chästeilet) and events like Fête des Vendanges de Neuchâtel and Fête des Vendanges de Lutry.

As always, am grateful for your inputs. Thank you. Appreciate it.

You can set the filters to show only specific dates and locations.

Look too at more local tourist info sites, not all events make it on this Switzerland wide site. Some cow parades are scheduled well in advance, and others are known only a week or so in advance.

Neuchâtel and Lutry both run September 25–27, so you cannot realistically cover both. I’d visit the Vacherin Mont-d’Or festival (https://www.vaud.ch/en/tourism/events/fete-du-vacherin-mont-dor/) on September 26, it has a nice cow parade and cheese festival, then Neuchâtel on the 27th. Afterward, travel Montreux–Zermatt–Lauterbrunnen–Lucerne–St Moritz–Zurich. Unfortunately, the Justistal Chästeilet is September 18, before you arrive.

I will certainly be visiting these festivals and then head further to other places in Switzerland.
