Appenzeller Cheese Factory

Dear Swiss Travelers,

Before we depart the region, we will be leaving by car from
Konstanz, Germany and traveling down to Tirol. Along the
way I saw we could go to this location to see cheese
being made. Love to see it made and sample different
cheeses. Anyone visit this location and have input?

I say go! I have fond memories of visiting the dairy and museum in Stein on my first trip to Switzerland. Appenzeller cheese is my favorite and the town of Appenzell is also charming, where I've returned a few times, even if I didn't always have a car to get back to Stein.
