It appears that Berggasthaus Aescher will be closed in 2017 for remodeling. This is that iconic hotel with its back literally jammed up against a cliff. RS has it in one of his videos. I was hoping to spend a night or two there this summer, but it will have to be some other time.
For 2017 we plan on doing internal remodelling and therefore will not
be taking any overnights...You can still visit us during the day for a
short trip.
