I am looking for a local hiking guide (individual or company) in Lauterbrunnen. The Switzerland Guidebook (11th Ed) lists Doris and site (www.doris-hike.ch) however, the site is not available. Any other possibilities? Will be in Lauterbrunnen 5 nites early-mid Sept.
Thank you,
Cicerone books are quite comprehensive, and in English. https://www.cicerone.co.uk/walking-in-the-bernese-oberland-jungfrau-region covers day trips in that area.
Do you need or want a personal guide for you (and a group?) or are you open to going alone with good written info and a map? Are you an easy-hiker or are you seeking a more challenging mountain experience?
You could contact the tourist office https://lauterbrunnen.swiss/en/ and see if they have actual guides.
Yes I'm looking for a personal guide. I'd like to do some longer, moderate hikes in that area. I can check w/ the tourist office.
Thank you
We used the excellent AllTrails app
Trails overlook the amazing valley
You can’t go wrong with any of them
But a personal guide will be excellent
