We would like to go on this Saturday but we just fly into Zurich late on Friday afternoon so if there are any airline problems we might not make it. Any reason not to buy tickets onsite?

Hi Jerry, I'd wait to buy so you can be sure the skies are clear. In general, trips up the mountain are best done in the morning before things start getting cloudy. We visited Mt Titlis last Sep, very nice. Hope you have a great trip!

Thank you. We plan on getting there. 10 to 15 minutes before it opens since we are staying in town Friday night.

Getting there early is a good plan. Not only is there less cloud cover but It can get very crowded later in the day. When I was there last month, we went up early and by the time we came down (2PM or so) the parking lot was full of busses with day trippers.
