Another itinerary question

First timers to area. End of September. Fly in/out Zurich cheaper but willing to also depart from Geneva. Active 60 year olds. Enjoy moderate hiking and all activities. Found hotels with free cancellation and breakfast. Buy full Swiss Pass ?

Day 1 & 2 Fly into Zurich - train to Luzern
2 nights luzern ( tour area, boat/train Pilates or Rigi)

Day 3, 4 & 5 train to Wengen (3 nights)
Tour towns and hikes

Day 6 & 7 - train to Zermatt (2 nights)
Tour area and Matterhorn

Day 8 & 9 - train to Montreux (2 nights)
Vineyards, walks, Chillion Castle

Day 10 - catch early train (1 hr) right into Geneva airport. Flight out at 11:15 am.

I agree with Sam. Looks like a great trip!

I’m a big fan of the Swiss travel pass for the convenience. If you get it, make sure you pick Rigi as it’s fully covered.

If you want to fly out of Zurich, I’ve done this route twice: land in Zurich train to Montreux. Zermatt. Wengen. Lucerne. Morning train to Zurich airport.

You have a good plan. Do be prepared… once in Wengen, you may never want to leave :)
