Alpine My Way - Swiss Travel Pass

Hi. We will be doing the Alpine My Way tour on June 19. We will have 21/2 days in Switzerland. Does it make sense to purchase a Swiss travel pass for our time there. Planning on doing North Face trail, Gimmelwald, Murren and Shilthorn. This is our first experience in Switzerland. Appreciate any advice, especially those from MY WAY TOUR.
Thank you!

When I read the itinerary, it looks like the first full day includes the train to Wengen, Maennlichen cable lift, hike to Kleine Scheidegg, then train back to Lauterbrunnen. I assume those are all included, but I don't know.
So that leaves only one day to go to Muerren, hike the North Face Trail, and go to the Schilthorn. That will cost you 108 CHF, plus 7 CHF for a one-way ride on the Allmendhubel lift as part of the North Face hike. The shortest pass period is 3-days, cost 230 CHF and only covers a 50% discount on the Schilthornbahn from Muerren to Schilthorn.
Result, just pay as you go. Confirm that the previous day's trips are covered by your trip price.

I did the My Way Alps tour last year and paid as I went for the lifts, cable cars, etc... I'm pretty sure our guide suggested we do that too. It worked out well! It's a wonderful trip, I've thought about doing it again. Hope you love it, enjoy the beautiful views!

Those are not included in the tour price....it's just a suggested itinerary.

Thanks for asking bc I was wondering this for the June 21 My Way tour. I saw there’s also a “Jungfrau pass” but it is 3 days minimum as the shortest pass option, too. Could work if we arrive early enough on the first day. It is more concentrated to the area where we’ll be. Still, our options will be weather dependent, of course. The pass would eliminate some of th e ticket counters & lines, which is appealing … but not if it costs too much more than paying as we go.

I found some neat YouTube videos of people taking the Mannlichen gondola and doing a few walks around Wengen, for a preview. It looks amazing!

Enjoy! I’ll be 2 days behind you, Amy!
