After Lucerne for another 7 days

I will be in Lucerne from Nov 6-12. We will be taking day trips from Lucerne. We may try to get to Jungfrau from there from Day trip.
After Luzern I am not sure how to go about it. Trying to meet up with a friend in Lusuanne for a day or two but need to be in Geneva to watch a friend play on Thurs 11/17. 13(Sun) -19(Sat) open but must be in Zurich for take off on 19.

I was thinking we could go to Thun and stay for 2 days (Sun & Mon) and do day trips from there to Bern and Schilthorn. Then to Lausanne for 2 days (Tues & Wed) to see a friend some fun in lausanne. Stay in Geneva for hadron collider and music Thurs. Friday morn take off to Zurich for an overnight there? Trying to be in Geneva to watch a friend play music on Thurs 11/17 and make our way back to Zurich to tour and then leave.
Somewhere in the has to be to see Zermatt. Would love to stay overnight there or should it be a day trip from Thun?
Also, Do I need to get the rail pass if I am taking day trips from lucerne. If I get the rail pass then I really can do these tours by myself? Like to Mt Titliss for the fondue? Or should I forego the rail pass and pay for the tours. I just dont want to overpay for something I couldve gone on myself.
Am I naive to think this itinerary can happen? I am a little intimidated since Ive never been. Any information is helpful. Thank you

So you’re looking at:

7nts Lucerne
2nts Thun
2nts Lausanne
1nt Geneva
1nt Zurich

I wouldn’t add more stops, that’s a lot of go go go. Given that you have to be in Geneva at very end it seems like a reasonable way to go about it.

Personally, I’d DIY and see how much you really feel like doing once you are there. See if Zermatt is going to be a good weather day on the day it fits in, see if you’re up for more go/see/do or a slower pace day to day.

Check the SBB timetable to get an idea of travel times between locations. Lausanne to Geneva for example can be as short as 35 minutes so you could easily stay in one location and see both.

Thun (where I live) is a great place to do day trips from. November can often be foggy or overcast so being flexible according to the daily weather is a good thing. It is often the case that one valley is socked-in while a neighbouring one is not. Also going up a local mountain to be above the fog is often possible and a fun experience.

Many things are closed on Sundays so that might not be the best day to go to Bern. In Thun many of the shops in the old town area are closed on Monday mornings as well.

November is a much less busy time as far as crowds go, but also a time when some things are closed for maintenance or staff holidays. Best to check the websites of anything that you hope to see and do to be sure it is open.

Note, the Lucerne-Interlaken Express has construction works ongoing until 27 NOV. Part of the line is replaced by buses, train tickets are valid.

Thank you so much for your responses. This has been most helpful realizing some of the trains are down for maintenance as well as some hotels in November. Quiet season. I’ll be re-evaluating my itinerary. Thanks again.
