Advice On Rail Pass

Hi,
I'm looking to travel from Paris to Switzerland and spend 90% of the time in Switzerland. Can you provide advice on the best way to get from Geneva to Zurich to St. Moritz to Zematt and back to Geneva. I'm assuming that the Swiss Rail Pass is the best solution but I would like to have that confirmed.

Thank you!

You can view the schedules at www.sbb.ch/en. You may want to consider the Glacier Express from St Moritz to Zermatt. To see it, put "Disentis/Muster" in the via box, otherwise it will show faster connections via Zurich. It requires a purchased seat reservation at https://glacierexpress.ch/en

Normally, there are hourly direct trains from Geneva to Zurich HB, but rail work currently requires one connection until late August.

Do not assume that when coming from Paris you must enter the country through Geneva. You could for example do Paris - Zurich -st. Moritz - Zermatt - Paris quite easily and the fastest routes don't even touch Geneva.

Geneva is quite away from the rest of Switzerland, so unless you want to visit Geneva there is no need to go there.

Thanks for the responses! Based on feedback and more research, I now plan to go Paris > Zurich > St. Moritz > Zematt > Interlaken > Zurich. I plan to get the Swiss Travel Pass and will check out the schedule.
