Advice on itinerary needed

I can't seem to make a decision, so I'm reaching out to you - thanks in advance...

Here's my dilemma - I need to decide where to stay for 1 night in between Murren and Lucerne. I have 4 nights booked in Murren and 2 in Lucerne. Here are the options I'm considering:

Option 1: add a night in Murren, so I would have 5 nights in Murren and 2 in Lucerne - that would leave me with about a 3 1/2 hour train ride between the two places (right?)

or

Option 2: 4 nights in Murren, 1 night in Brienz and 2 in Lucerne - that would leave me with a 1 1/2 hour train ride between Brienz and Lucerne. (We plan on spending a day at Ballenberg, so the Brienz location would be ideal - we could check out of Murren in the morning, take the train to Brienz and then spend the day at Ballenberg, leaving for Lucerne the next morning.)

One of the main reasons I'm against adding an extra night in Murren, is my daughter just informed me that she's terrified of cable cars. I might end up switching to Wengen because of this, but I figure if we're going to Ballenberg, it would take a lot of extra travel if I'm leaving from Murren.

Thoughts?

Stay the one night in Lauterbrunnen. Lauterbrunen to lucerne is just over an hour's train ride.

Option 2 Modified: 4 Nights Murren > 1 Night Lauterbrunen > 2 Nights Lucerne

Lauterbrunen to Ballenberg is just 30 minutes. You can stop by there after leaving Lauterbrunen before heading off to Lucerne.

If it was me, I'd add that extra night in Luzern rather than Mürren, and not in between, because two nights in Luzern sounds thin to me. But I've not been to Brienz. Could you make the stop in Ballenberg on the way?

Lauterbrunnen to Murren is only 15ish minutes - I don't want to change hotels for that short of time.

Also, stopping off in Ballenberg on the way to Lucerne is an option.. Do you know if the train station has a place to store luggage?

The reason I was thinking an extra night in Murren over Lucerne as there seems a lot more to do in Murren - am I wrong here? I was planning on going to Ballenberg, Grindelwald (with a day at First), Kleine Scheidegg hike, Schilthorn, hikes from Murren, Jungraujoch, etc.
