Adding Swiss Travel Pass to Mobile App?

Is it possible to add the print at home tickets to the SBB app? I purchased the STP through the Switzerland Travel Centre website to take advantage of the 25% promotion, just curious if I can also add to the app.

Don't think so, but-
You can add it to your Apple wallet. That is what we did with the STP when we traveled this past Sept.
OR- take a screen shot of the STP and present the pix.
Those options don't require internet connections.
Safe travels!

You can also print out the pass (i had printed out multiple copies) and show the piece of paper to the conductor(s). They just need to scan the QR code--either from the paper or your phone.

Yea, I was gonna go the screenshot route since it doesn't seem to work with Google Pay. Oh well. That's for the replies!

Yes!! Do the screenshot--- you will need it just about every time you ride the Swiss trains. Most times when they came around to scan them, it let them know we were from the US and then they would ask us for our QR code as well.

I ordered two 8 day Swiss Travel Passes for our trip next September. I purchased them now because of the current 25% off offer. I ordered from Switzerland Travel Centre and then received an email acknowledging the order but no PDF to print the passes with QR CODES. I wrote to Switzerland Travel Centre to ask for the PDFs of the passes and was told they won’t send them until June at the earliest. Is this common??? This seems a very long time to have to wait after purchase.

When we ordered ours for our past Sept, 2021, trip directly from the SBB site, we received everything immediately. However, we were never able to add the STP to the SBB app. We were able to put them in the Apple wallet, and also used a screen shot, once we had the QR code.
Good luck!

I just tried to add the STP to the app on my phone , but , as said , it was a no go . Since my pass is not until next Autumn , I suppose it' s possible it might work closer to the start date . In any event , I always keep my weekly transportation passes ( Navigo , Isar Card , Wiener Linien , etc ) in a transparent neck wallet for easy access .

Steven, you will not be able to add the STP to the SBB app. All you will need is the QR code—either printed out or added to your phone’s wallet if you have one or as pat suggested, a screen shot will be fine too.

The SBB app is designed primarily for Swiss residents. So, it is not currently set up for tourists too add the STP to the app. But, as stated above, there is no need to add the pass to the app.

Carrie , Thanks for the heads up ! Actually , being " Old School " , I am most likely to stick with my paper documents in my neck wallet . Over the years , I have found that approach less of a hassle , than constantly pulling out my phone to access transit information . In the case of Vienna and Munich , for example , it is rare that I need to show the card , and when using a Navigo or Oyster , the lanyard on my neck wallet is long enough , that I can reach the reader without disrobing . By the way , thanks again for the info on the STP , always nice to save a few dollars !
