Hello. I read that Switzerland requires a different adapter. I will be needing one for the iphone. Can you pleawe tell me which one to buy for Switzerland? Thank you very much for your time
I used this one, which fit all the plugs I encountered: https://www.amazon.com/Ceptics-GP-11A-3PK-Switzerland-Travel-Adapter/dp/B0080SG1SY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522272242&sr=8-1&keywords=Ceptics+GP-11A-3PK+Switzerland+Travel+Plug+Adapter+%28Type+J%29+-+3+Pack+%5BGrounded+%26+Universal%5D
I also brought a two-prong plug that I used years ago in Paris, and it worked in many Swiss outlets, too. That one looked like this: https://www.amazon.com/Ceptics-CT-9C-Europe-Travel-Adapter/dp/B01NCZJ5UN/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1522272317&sr=1-3&keywords=travel+plug+adapter+europe
While I understand that some newer construction will have the different style, my continental 2-pronged adaptor worked everywhere I tried it in Switzerland this month (in 6 hotels and a train). Hotels will also sometimes have adaptors available to loan.
rox,
If you're only going to be charging the iPhone, this model should work - https://www.amazon.com/Ckitze-EU-Europe-Power-Adapter/dp/B0012S304W/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1522295767&sr=8-6&keywords=plug+adapter+for+europe . I'd suggest buying a couple as they're small and easily misplaced. The iPhone charger only has two pins, so a grounded Plug Adaptor is not needed.
This is one example of a Swiss outlet - https://goo.gl/images/kaAG9V .
Thank you Ken. You have been so helpful. Take care.
