Accomodations in Basel

Hi folks, We will have one night to spend in Basel the beginning of April, 2019. Sadly, that is all the time we have. Will arrive by train and we're looking for mod. priced accomodations near the station/city center. We are 65 yrs old but are hale and hearty and will only have carry-on wheeled bags. Thank you for any help you can provide.
Sincerely, Abby & Co.

Basel has a colorful, attractive old town. You will enjoy it. I especially liked the muenster, the rathuis on the marktplatz, and the views of the old town on the bridge by the art museum and across the river from old town. We stayed at Motel One in the center of the old town. While its more new and modern than historical and charming, the folks were helpful and pleasant and the rooms very clean. https://www.motel-one.com/en/hotels/basel/hotel-basel/ The tourist information office was quite helpful and sent me a map and some walking tours of the town before we left home. https://www.basel.com/en

We liked Hotel Euler just a block from the main SBB station, and across the road from a park. It is an easy walk to the Old Town from there.
