Although much of Village is closed for inter-season break, we are looking for a B&B or small hotel in Grimentz for two nights in early May. Any recommendations? Dates are firm due to other commitments.

Does it have to be Grimentz?
In Chandolin across the valley, the Chandolin Boutique Hotel is open, and it is a beautiful place with great mountain scenery.

Thank you! We want to be within walking distance or a short drive away. I will look into that village and the Chandolin Boutique Hotel.

OK, don't be fooled then: it looks like a short drive away, but it is not - a solid 30 minutes of twists and turns!
Vissoie, the main village in the valley, would be closer. Not nearly as scenic. Or Zinal, at the far end of the valley, 15 minutes beyond Grimentz.
Otherwise, having a look myself, I am seeing availability in early May at Hotel de Moiry. Looks good! I have been to Grimentz before but only for the (excellent) skiing, staying in an apartment, so no firsthand recommendations from me.

Many thanks, but when I go to their booking calendar, it is closed from mid-April - June. I appreciate your help and will continue to look!
