9 days in June/July

Hello, my wife and I are flying in and out of Geneva and need your ideas about this rough plan:

  1. (arrive 4 pm) - to Lausanne

  2. Lausanne/boat ride on lake/stay in Montreaux -- will the jazz festival that starts the next day be a problem with crowds?

3 - 7 to Zermatt - our second trip - is 3 days a better amount of time?

7 - 9 to Chamonix, Annecy, then Geneva -- or 3 nights in Geneva with day trips?
Or is Chamonix/gondola going to be redundant after Zermatt? We prefer the mountains and cool air of course.

Thanks for your help.

just working out your notation. Are the numbers a date? Or night number? Or day number? I don't think think they are question numbers.

As Lausanne is only 20 minutes from Montreux and plenty of folks go to the festival I'd certainly expect plenty people in Lausanne.

Those are the days.

How would you spend them?

Or would it be better to go from Geneva airport to Annecy for one day,
then Chamonix for two,
Zermatt for just three
Wengen for more mountains,
Bern,
Lausanne, and
Geneva?

Yes, good ideas. We want to spend a lot of the trip in the mountains so three or four days in Zermatt as I have signed up for the Zermatt Marathon on July 1st. I think we will go back to Wengen or Murren and skip going to France.

Yes, one day in Lausanne after landing at GEN and/or on the way back to the airport, with possibly a boat ride to Montreaux.
