Hello all! I'm heading to Switzerland in May for 9 days and wanted to get your feedback on my planned itinerary.
Day 1 - Fly into Zurich and go straight to Lucerne
Day 2 and 3 - use Lucerne as a base.
Day 4 through 7 - use either Interlaken or Lauterbrunnen as a base. Any thoughts on which would be better?
Day 8 - Bern
Day 9 - Zurich
Also, Is the train ride up to Jungfraujoch worth the additional expense? It's so pricey!

I'd go with Lauterbrunnen over Interlaken. Closer to the action.
The train ride to Jungfraujoch is a total judgement call. For some, it the highlight of a trip to Switzerland if the visibility is good. For others, no big deal. I could have gone up on a cloudless day for a relatively modest amount, since I had a ski pass, but chose to keep skiing.
No need to spend the last day in Zurich just to catch a flight. Bern has a direct link to the Zurich airport. It takes about 70 minutes and departs every half hour or so.

Zurich can be worth a day, but most people seem to put Zurich on their itinerary b/c they depart from the Z airport and figure they have to spend their last night there. You could add a day to Lauterbrunnen and spend your last night in Bern.
