8 day trip first time to Switzerland

I need suggestions based on my itinerary of hotel bookings. 2 adults and 21 year. Should we go for STP or half fare card ?April 18-20 being a holiday not sure tourist Attractions are open in big cities like Geneva.

Day 1-2 - Land in ZRH airport from Indianapolis on April 12 by 8 am. Check into hotel in Lucern 2 nights. Check out 14.
Day 2-Apr 14 tour Interlaken area. 1 night stay only.
Day 3- 15 check out Hotel in Interlaken.
Day 4 - Apr 15. Hotel in wengen for 2 nights.
Day 5-6 - Apr 15-16. Tour Wengen area hikes and trains, mountain Jungfraujoch.
Day 7 - Apr 17 - Travel to Zermatt - hotel 1 night. Like to see Matterhorn.
Day 8 - Apr 18 visit a family in Geneva for a day. Tour area. Could we do partial glacier express?
Day 9 - Stay in Geneva and travel that night to ZRH. Airport exit still debating. Currently exit from ZRH. Can switch to exit from GVA.
April 20 - flight back in US

I'd get rid of the stay in Interlaken and add it to Wengen since they are more or less 20 minutes away by train. That way you are not packing up and moving from hotel to hotel.
You might want to just stay in Montreux close to Geneva and take a day trip to Zermatt only if the weather is good enough to see the Matterhorn.
I have seen the Matterhorn twice on day trips after I read the weather forecast the night before and the day of.
The 2nd time the clouds rolled in and I couldn't see it anymore.
Then fly out of Geneva if the change of the flight does not cost you a lot more so you don't have to back track.
You can look up the hours of each tourist attraction using Google to see the hours of operation.

I second the suggestions to go straight to Wengen skipping Interlaken. IMHO I'd skip Zermatt and go onto Geneva .
