I will have a 6 hour morning layover in Zurich in late October. Coming from the US. My connection from there leaves at 1 pm. I have lounge access so I can shower and leave bags.

Wife and I had the same length of layover to Rome.
A quick 15 min. train ride from the airport to downtown, seeing the architecture of the cathedrals.and strolling in that part of town was well worth it. Without being in a rush.
