Hello..we are staying 4 days in Murren starting 9/13 but have an extra 3 days to spend in Switzerland before we fly out of Zurich on 9/21 at 10am?....any suggestions? Thank you..

Check out Luzern. It's worth 2 or 3 days. Train ride to Zurich airport is just over an hour.

Spend a couple nights in Bern. We just got back and the river is super fun though I would note that a small modicum of fitness is needed to get out. It's a smidge over an hr on the train from Bern to ZRH (if you're skipping Zurich).

Besides Luzern/Lucerne and Bern (and assuming you've considered Zermatt), I would suggest heading to the French-speaking side, with Montreux to Lausanne (Lavaux Vineyards, Lac Leman). The food also shifts, to more of a French-influence, along with the architecture and other elements.

Luzern, with a trip up the Rigi if the weather is fine. French side is off route and adds to travel time.

I'm in Lausanne at the moment and while it is nice I much preferred Luzern!!
