3 nights Murren/2 nights Wengen - too close?

Hi, we are booked for three nights in Murren, followed by two nights in Wengen. I'm wondering if these two places are too close to each other, and if we should perhaps stay somewhere else after Murren (easier to cancel hotel in Wengen at this point). We were in Wengen years ago. Thinking maybe Brienz for something different? Would that make sense? Or maybe Grindelwald? Obviously open to all suggestions! :) Or, keep as-is?

For reference, itinerary also includes Zurich, Appenzell, Lausanne, Zermatt, Lugano, St. Moritz, Interlaken, Lucerne, and Locarno. Wherever we stay after Murren we'll be flying home (from Zurich) afterwards. We visited Bern on a previous trip. Thanks!

The Berner Oberland warrants 5 nights for sure, but I don't think I'd use up half a day moving to Wengen or Grindlewald. It's not that big of a deal to get to those locations from Murren. Yes, it takes time, but checking in/out, moving your luggage, etc. always feels like a full day ordeal to me. The only thing I'd consider maybe is if you could find a neat waterfront option on Lake Brienz or Lake Thun. At least then you'd have a different feel. Otherwise maybe you can just add 2 nights onto your place in Murren.

Or, if you want to keep as is, just make sure to do all your Murren side activities when you're staying there and save Grindlewald, Mannlichen, Kleine Scheidegg, Jungfraujoch type activities for your time in Wengen to justify the move.

I'm confused where you are actually spending the night in the list of cities above. I wouldn't sleep in Interlaken, that's a transportation hub. Murren needs as many days as possible, or Wengen, but don't switch hotels between the two. Unless you have an early flight, stay in Lucerne before your flight home- or right after you arrive, skipping Zurich.

Thank you both so much for the input! I think I'll try to cancel the hotel in Wengen and just stay the extra two nights in Murren (unpacking once is always a good option!).

Regarding Interlaken, we're on a Gate1 tour that stays two nights there... first night is following a day trip on the Glacier Express (St. Moritz to Andermatt), then the next day they're taking us to Lauterbrunnen, Staubbauch, and Trummelbach Falls. We're not typically tour people but we're using the tour as a baseline and bookending it with independent travel. Any other input/suggestions are welcomed! Thanks again
