3-4 days Late February itinerary ideas

We are going to try to get a taste of Switzerland for 3-4 days after spending several days in France before flying out of Geneva.

Any ideas for a family with a 9 & 11 y/o? We might try to stop by the Chamonix area prior to going to Switzerland.

I am learning more about the SwissPass. We are not sure how the train schedule will work versus renting a car.

We won't have time to ski this trip. Perhaps some day in the future.

By national mandate, all Swiss train stations have at least one train in each direction every hour. They work like a....Swiss watch?

February will be ski season in the Swiss alps. Might try a couple of days in one of the resorts like Leysin, Chateau d'Oex. Easy train connections from Chamonix. Then Vevey or Montreux to see the Chinon Castle, then easy train connection to Geneva Airport.

thank you for the info. I will check out the events page.

Being in Switzerland during ski season and not skiing is admittedly sort of a bummer as that has been on the bucket list for a long time. Not sure it will happen this trip. The events page listed some a moonlight skiing slalom or torchlight descent which sounds interesting. Maybe I will be able to convince the family to do that. Sledding would be fun certainly.

Thanks again.
