2nd Trip to Switzerland - Help needed with what to see and what to miss

Hello there, we are family of three myself, wife and son age 16. We visited Switzerland last year for the first time and absolutely loved it. Last time we did 3 nights Lucerne, 7 nights Wengen, 3 nights Zermatt- Glacier Exp to St. Mortiz, stayed 3 nights in St. Moritz Bernina Exp to Tirano and Zurich for 3 nights. We have seen Top of Europe, Schilthorn, Harder Klum, Matterhorn, day trip to Bern, Mt. Titlis .

This time around here is the tentative plan for our 2nd trip from Aug 24th to Sep 24th.

Arrive in Zurich, go directly to Lucerne stay 3 nights, ( Not sure Mt. Rigi or Pilatus or both )
Paris 7 nights ( wife's birthday, she wants to celebrate in paris, will take a train from Lucerne to Basel or Zurich and then TGV to Gare de lyon)
5 nights Montreux ( Train from Gare de Lyon to Geneva and then to Montreux, plan is to visit Geneva, Lausanne, Gruyeres, Gstaad as day trips)
6 nights Grindelwald ( we stayed in wengen last time, I loved it, however my wife thought it was boring after few days and was a challenge with luggage, hopefully she does not overpack this time lol.)
3 nights in Basel ( day trip to Colmar)
3 nights ( not sure- Lake Como, Lugano, St. Gallen/Appenzell, Bern or any other place )
3 nights in Zurich ( last time did not see much, plan to stay and visit old town and fly back)

Is there any mountain resort village such as Zermatt and St. Moritz in other part of Swiss close to France or Austria ? Open for suggestions on making changes to the above plan.

Thank you !

Romy.

It is all subjective, but 5 nights in Montreaux is about 5 nights too many. From Paris, train directly to Colmar, then on to Grindelwald, with a stop-over in Basel. From there, Lake Como, then on to Zermatt then Zurich.

That would be my plan. Keeps you from backtracking and also avoids Montreaux (c;

When going to Colmar, rent a car and stay in Riquewihr - sublime.
