Is the Swiss half-fare card still a 50% discount all the way up to Jungfraujoch and is it just a 25% discount from Kleine Scheidegg using the Swiss Travel Pass? This is the difference maker in deciding which card works best for us.
- The Half-Fare Card provides the 50% discount on all Swiss transport, including all the way to Jungfraujoch.
- The Swiss Travel Pass covers as far as Wengen and then offers 25% off from Wengen to Jungfraujoch (on counted rail pass travel days).
- The Berner Oberland pass divides the discount point at Kleine Scheidegg instead of Wengen.
On the other hand, if you're going to the Schilthorn, the Swiss Travel Pass fully covers Muerren to Schilthorn this year, versus 50% discount on that leg with the Half-Fare Card.
The map of validity shows that trains above Wengen only get a 25% discount with a Swiss Travel pass, not Kleine Scheidegg.
