Has anyone take a Swiss Train Tour recently? Which tour company would you recommend. How long in advance would you recommend
makein reservations.

Hello Roy,
I hadn’t thought that there would be tour companies to book our train tour of Switzerland last year. We used the MySwitzerland.com website and SBB.CH to plan our train tour. We more or less followed the Grand Tour described on MySwitzerland but at a pace that suited us and we bought our rail passes directly from SBB. We used the accomodation suggestions on MySwitzerland to look for suitable accomodation but booked directly with each hotel. I only reserved seats for the panoramic trains like the Glacier Express which I did once the bookings became available, but we only bought the actual rail pass a few days before we arrived in Switzerland.
Happy planning, train travel in Switzerland is great.
