2 week train tour

I am wanting to plan a two week Switzerland trip by train. I have looked at the tour companies to book for me but they are very expensive. We want to go in June 2025 or end of May 2025. I have read that folks on this forum would help with an itinerary. I am asking for help. :)

In order to get useful help, people will need to know how you plan to spend your time. Are you planning to do any hiking?

Above is my Trip Report from 2021, ignore the Covid references.

We can best help you after you have done some research, and indicated your age, interests, fitness , budget, and size of group.
Review the postings under Switzerland here.
Review Trip Reports under that section here.
Review the RS Tour itinerary as a starter.

June is better than May, as some of the lifts are still closed in May.
Good luck.

We like hiking and the outdoors. We want all the rail adventures and looking for what best route and places to stay. Honestly, I don't know enough to even know where to start. I've read about some ideal itineraries. I am not a lover of planning a trip and have often used companies to book hotels and help with itinerary. I'm fine with cost but felt the money could be better used for travel rather than someone else planning. Hopefully that makes sense.

I guess I really just need suggestions on a frame work. I don't need every day planned out. Just route and places for stay nights. What trains do what.

I'm afraid there's no way around spending the next month reading and researching, if you plan on your own, and yes, that is much cheaper than a travel agent. Switzerland is an expensive country. We took the RS Swiss tour and loved it, highly recommended. We have returned to Switzerland twice since on our own.
After you have done your research, you'll gravitate towards certain areas , and then we can help with the details.
Safe travels !

Start with the RS Tour itinerary ( the one in the guide book and the one RS leads) and modify that as you become interested in specific locations. Do max out your time in the Berner Oberland. No one is ever ready to leave the Alps.
