We will be arriving Zurich this coming June 19th, spending 2 nights in Luzern ,followed by 4 nights in Murren, and then onto Salzburg.
We are planning on purchasing a Half fare travel card for our rail and cable car travel while in Switzerland.
From Murren we are planning to leave early in the AM and arrive in Salzburg late in the afternoon.
I am assuming the Half fare card will reduce the fare of our tickets to to Salzburg for Swiss portion of the trip.
We would welcome feedback on whether we should purchase tickets for Salzburg when we arrive in Zurich or the day of travel to Salzburg.

If you wait, the tickets will be 112 CFH per person with the Half Fare Card. If you buy right now, today, a nonrefundable, nonchangeable ticket for June 25 (I calculate as your travel date) at www. sbb.ch/en, it is 79 CHF. No Half Fare Card required. Leave at 7:36 am and get to Salzburg at 4 pm.
