2 days Geneva

Hello. we have 2 full days in Geneva in a couple of weeks after our time in Italy. I really wanted to tour the UN but didn't plan that in advance. So I assume that's off the table. What else do you recommend in 48 hours. It's myself, hubby and 2 kids (18 and 20). Trip to Annecy? Chilling Castle? Tell me your most memorable experiences!!! thank you!

Annecy is an option, a solid choice indeed, but you could also head to Yvoire: you can cruise there and back from Geneva in about 1.5 hours on the lake, and there are more timing options if you take the train to Nyon then boat across the lake.

And Geneva itself deserves a day of exploration.

Chillon Castle feels a bit far to me, personally, but is a good rainy day option.

Hoping to see an update on this. We'll have 2 days in Geneva at the end of this month. I'll be with my 16 & 20 year olds. I did read there's a big flea market on Saturdays and we're excited about that. Will be there most of Friday as well

We loved Geneva. Did a ton of walking and exploring city. It's clean, not over crowded and felt super safe. The weekend we were there they closed down the bridge/river crossing had live music. families were skating/roller blading on roads. There was a drone show over the lake two nights, we watched the first night. My hubby and I visited the Philippe Patek watch museum one afternoon (hubby could have spent all day there I was just along for support). We did a guided half day trip to Annecy...was one of our highlights of the trip. Beautiful midevil coastal town with such history. Kids enjoyed that as well. Get some fondue, chocolate and enjoy what Geneva has to offer!!!!
