2.5 days itinerary. Need help in planning

Folks, my wife and I are making a 2 days (theoretically 2.5 days) stop over in Switzerland on October 1-3. We are flying in Geneva (October 1st evening) and fly out from Basel (October 3rd evening). Our main interest are in (1) Natural scenic places, (2) Alpine experience, (3) Old town sight-seeing. I tried to steal some ideas from few recent posts, but still gaps and doubts are there.
We will be travelling around by trains/buses or cable cars, wherever necessary. Lauterbrunnen can be base for all 3 nights or I can split, if necessary.

1st Day: (Good/Sunny Weather) Lauterbrunnen - Grutchalp - Murren - Schilthorn cable car station - Birg - Schilthorn. While coming back - Schilthorn - Birg - Trümmelbach Fall - Lauterbrunnen

1st Day: (Cloudy/bad Weather) Lauterbrunnen - Grutchalp - Murren - Gimmelwald - Birg - cable car to Stechelberg - Trümmelbach Fall - Lauterbrunnen

2nd Day:

3rd Day: Lauterbrunnen - Lake Spiez/Thun - brief visit of Oberhofen Castle - We have to reach Mulhouse/Basel (Airport) by 5 PM.

Few questions -
a) Is my first day ok ? We may not stop at all places, I mentioned them as route. But definitely would give some time to Murren and Trümmelbach Fall. Any comment on this day ?

b) What should we see on second day ? There may be multiple options like Lucerne or another post I read, First, Bachalpsee, Faulhorn, Bussalp. But I am not sure, need help here.

c) Anything you would suggest ?

Many Thanks !!!

Based on your dates, you only have two nights. That's one a half days to do things. You don't have an extra day to determine what to see. On Oct 1, arrival day, it will be nighttime when you arrive if you have an evening flight landing ni Geneva. The next day, plan to visit Murren, etc. The next day plan what you mentioned for day 3 and head to basel for your departure flight. That said, you need to leave the Bernese Oberland area by noon that day I would think. You have a 3-3.5hr train to the station, then get the bus to the airport for check in.

If you have time Lucerne is always worth seeing I think.

Will it be good to do a day trip to Lucerne from Lauterbrunnen ? If yes, worth to give a little stopover at Brienz and then move further to Lucerne ?

While looking route on maps.google.com, it shows me two routes. One goes via Lake Brienz and other route goes via Bern and takes upper big loop.

We are ok to take little longer train (full day), if some other place is worth. Suggestions ?
