I'll be in Muerren at the end of may for 2 or 3 days. I haven't decided if I should stay a 3rd day. I've read that many of the restaurants are closed in May. Can anyone confirm if the town is dead in May?

I've been in Murren in May. The place is a bit deserted, but there are still a few restaurants and hotels open. It won't be a hardship. I had a good stay at Eiger Guesthouse which appeared to be open of the only hotels open in May. The food at their restaurant was amazing!

If you prefer to stay in place that is a bit busier which a wider range of food choices, Interlaken would be a better fit.
