If you are ready to lock in a date and time, for instance on the scenic Golden Pass line via Zweisimmen and Interlaken, then you might do so at http://www.goldenpass.ch/ and check whether the VIP/nose-cone seats are available in 1st class. Otherwise, 2nd class is fine, there's no deadline to buy tickets, and seat assignments are not required.
