We will be in Switzerland in September and have a few questions regarding The Golden Pass Train.
1. Can we do the Golden Pass train from Luzern to Montreux, spend two or three
hours in Montreux then return to Luzern by regular train all in one long day?
2. Can we purchase a single ticket or does it have to be purchased in increments lilke three seprate train rides with three seperate seat reservations etc?
3. Can we use our Eurail pass?
4. Can we get off in Gstaad to look around then catch the next train to continue on.
- I don't see why not. It would be a LONG day.
- Yes
- Yes
- Do you have reservations on a particular train?
Thanks so much Nigel for your input. Now to answer your question, no we have no reservations yet. I Was looking for more info first. When I went to the Golden Pass website I found the Golden pass to be three seperate trains and I couldn't find where to purchase the seat reservation all at once. It looked like it had to be done as three seperate reservations, that is what led me to believe we could get off in Gstaad.
