swiss saver pass question

If my wife and I purchase a 4 day Swiss saver pass and plan on staying for 6 days can we use the pass to purchase 50% private rail tickets (such as top of Europe excursion) and not use one of the 4 days? Thanks for the help

The Saver Pass gives you 4 consecutive days of travel from the date of first use. So if your trip to the Jungfraujoch falls in one of those 4 days, yes. If not, no. The Swiss Saver Pass may not be your best value. Look at the Swiss Card and 1 month Half Fare Card. Look at what your travel will cost at full fare and see if you will be saving anything vs actually costing you money.

Are you asking about a 4-day Flex Pass, or a 4-day Swiss Pass for consecutive days? If you are in Switzerland for 6 days,,a Flex Pass would serve you better, and you might do with a 3-day Flex, as other days are still 50%off. But neither pass will cover 50% of the Jundfrau train trip. These passes cover only 25% of the way after Wengen (or Grindelwald if you go that way).

If you are sure you are doing the Jungfrau trip, look carefully at the Half Fare Card and Swiss Card as Sam suggested. The Half-Fare card gives a full 50%discount on the Jungfrau. The Swiss Card if a Half-Fare Card plus Transfer Ticket( inbound and outbound trips covered at 100%).
